Office Administrator

This role offers a competitive package including generous holiday allowance of 11 weeks per year. For the right candidate flexibility around working hours is a possibility although certain times will be required.

Summary of Role

Reporting to the Office Manager, this role will assist with the administration of a range of operational activities to ensure the smooth function of the business and delivery of a first-class service to all of Musicale’s clients.

Key Responsibilities to include:

Office Administration

  • Liaising with clients by answering phone calls, responding to emails and dealing with face-to-face queries
  • Supporting the Office Manager in an administrative capacity, as directed
  • Assisting with bookkeeping duties on Xero, website updates on WordPress and social media posts
  • Supporting tutors with technical assistance on Musicale’s parent portal

Instrument Rental Administration

  • Arranging and maintaining the lifecycle of rental instruments from supplier to client
    • Having knowledge of some musical instruments to assist clients in their choices; training can be provided
    • Arranging repairs with reputable instrument repairers

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Be enthusiastic, polite, creative and flexible to make the most of working in a small team
  • Have a passion and knowledge for classical music and instruments
  • Have great organisational skills and be a strong communicator
  • Have experience with various forms of both on and offline marketing
  • Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

Salary and Benefits:

Up to £24,000 plus pension opt ins, plus 11 weeks’ annual leave to be taken as directed.

Working Hours:

Working hours of 37.5 hours per week are flexible but must include Saturday mornings from 9am to 12.30pm and ad hoc concerts and events. Typical office hours are 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday with a daily unpaid lunch break of one hour.
